Health is not only eating the right food and burning calories, but we need to find balance.
As a student who tries to live healthy I want to share my belief about our eating habits and improvements that we should make.

We all need some sort of supervision, but our diet should be adjusted to each individual. We should be determined and resist the temptation, however, when we know the piece of chocolate will please our cravings, we should eat it without guilty conscience.
To make us feel better, we can eat dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
Dark chocolate also improves our blood circulation and lowers blood pressure.

Because of the antioxidants, vitamin B and C, phosphorus and potassium We should drink a cup of lemon juice every morning and for lower glycemic index we should replace white bread with wholemeal bread.
Eating fish at least twice a week is important for our intake of vitamin D and omega-3.
Reducing the salt intake to 5g per day can decrease the risk of heart disease and stroke.
We should reduce our intake of fats as well. Especially intake of trans-fats, which are prevalent in fried food. Fats give us energy, so for the right intake of fats, instead of fried food, eat avocado, nuts and olive oil.
It is not all about food. Finding our special spot and making peace in our minds is as important as a healthy diet. Our spot should be somewhere where we feel safe (recommended in nature) and where we can meditate.
We ease our muscles and connect our bodies to our minds with meditation.

However, even if we live healthily, we should visit a doctor regularly. Checking our blood pressure and getting tested for diseases can help us find problems before they start.
If we are diagnosed sooner, our chances for recovery are higher.

The body will respond to positive changes with happiness, we will be more energized and our energy will be spent on more productive things. We can also expect healthier digestion and achievements that we will be proud.

Investing in our health by eating well and minding the needs of our bodies is important and starting while we are young is clever because we only have one body which we must take care of.
